The train from Hua-Hin was very late, so I took the midnight boat from Chomphon to Ko Tao. Arrived at 06:30, but nothing was open.

I caught the train to Hua-Hin yesterday. It took 4 hours, and was surprisingly comfortable in my 3rd class seat. Much more comfortable than a bus or van.
Stayed overnight in Hua-Hin so that I can do the next leg of the train journey in the sunlight. Hopefully the scenery will be different on the this [...]

Not taken that many photos in Bangkok, but we did go to the Grand Palace complex.

About 50km down the coast from Chennai, famous for beach, temples and stone carvings. The only place in Tamil Nadu with a lot of travellers.

I spent nearly a week in Ooty, 2 days of it in my room being ill. Fortunately my room was pretty nice – a great view for a budget room and slightly out of town overlooking the lake. (Reflections Guest House, see Lonely Planet).
